14 inch star block

it might be in EQ 5 or 6, who knows. i drew it into EQ4, adding a few lines here and there to suit. saved a few colour versions but only of the block. didnt get round to designing a quilt from it. not sure if i'll keep all the extra lines either. was wondering if it was a bit bigger could be a nice size medallion centre block. hmmm, might try it set on point too, just to see how it looks. i do like playing with EQ, even my earlier version has enough fabric choices to suit. i sometimes change colourways of the fabrics, easier than scanning and adding new fabrics. j.

I too like playing in my EQ. It's so relaxing. My newest "therapy" for a hard day at work. I might draw it today. I'm still on break until December

I really liked your block and wanted to put a copy in my "Good Scrappy Blocks file" Didn't check before I hit the "print" botton. Fortunately I didn't move too far from the computer because I realized it was printing more than one page. I quickly hit "cancel" and checked what it was printing. Yes, I did get the photo of the block but then it started printing 26 pages of your blog! Thanks for the photo but I didn't need copies of your blog. (lesson reminder--look before you hit the print button!) The block will be used in a charity quilt real soon. I was looking for new ideas. Thanks for inspiring me.

oh my, so sorry about that, Susan. it wasnt my blog or my star. i just found it while surfing and thot it was a wee bit different so thot i'd post the link here. i usually save the pix of it and work out the sizes etc for myself on things like that. if i do save a whole set of instructions, i try to check i only print the bits i need. usually just read thru it all and jot down the info. sorry to put you thru such an ordeal. :( j.

Jeanne, that's a new block to me, too. Thanks for posting it.

Has anyone else noticed the trend to really-close-up photography? Not only in this blog, but also in magazines. Reminds me of how close I have to get to the needle to thread it if I don't have my glasses on. (I am extremely nearsighted, with a dash of presbyopia to keep things interesting....thank goodness for bifocal contact lenses.)

As aesthetically pleasing as the closeup shots are, I'd rather get the perspective from a couple of feet away.
