No, you haven't missed anything. Life happened and she has a RL deadline to meet. IIRC it was about something being published. She will get August and September BOMs posted as soon as she can get back to it. I think she expected to be back already, but it just hasn't happened that way. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Please would you tell me about the blocks of the month you're all doing... TA newbie Elly

Elly, here's the last post Jessamy made about the Blocks of the Month:

******************************************************* How this BOM works is I will post block patterns each month near the beginning of each month. One is pieced, one appliqué and one paper pieced. It is up to you which one (or ones) you would like to do. You will work at your own pace over the course of each month. You keep your blocks. You do not mail them to me. At the end of the year you will have twelve blocks to set into a quilt. You keep the quilt. You do not mail it to me (unless it's not pink and/or purple and you really feel the need to give me this gift!). You will then have your very own 2007-2008 RCTQ BOM quilt. When I announce a month's block patterns, I will also include the previous months' as well so if you decide to join along the way you will have all the blocks. All blocks will be 12" in size whenever possible. Feel free to size up/down if you so chose.

This BOM will run from June 2007 through July 2008. This is how the schedule breaks down: =============================================================== June 2007 - May 2008: Monthly blocks June 2008: Completing the Top (setting, sashing, borders, etc.) July 2008: Completing the Quilt (quilting, binding, labelling, etc.) - Done! August 2008: start of the next BOM

that rates the level of difficulty of her block patterns. One pin blocks are fairly simple and they increase in difficulty as the number of pins increase. I will start with one pin blocks and increase the difficulty as we go so that you are challenged, but not overwhelmed! I will be try to keep the blocks at a level most quilters would be able to make. Most of the blocks with only have three colours to them; however, some of them may have more.

Last years finished blocks can be seen at

I hadn't thought of doing that. Thanks for the idea. I missed out on some of the blocks because I didn't print or save all the patterns before they disappeared from the quiltmaker site. Sure learned my lesson though, now I print or save every free applique pattern I like when I see it the first time. Debra in VA See my quilts at

It's a pain when the hard drive goes. Lost many things as a result. same happened here a few weeks ago, but slowly and surely, I'm finding all my favourites again and some more. You'll find yours too. Elly

thanks, for all the block patterns! these are great! {{{{hugs}}}} to nzlstar! so sorry about your h/d! what a bummer! my last home computer did that. i didnt know at the time that you could replace the h/d, so i went and bought a whole new computer! but now am glad i did! you'll find all your fav's again. guaranteed. amy

you can replace any parts inside the computer. these days they make it pretty easy too. yrs ago you had to be a geek to even consider opening the case, now they show ya how in the manual you get with the puter. i've opened and fiddled while getting those instructions from the phone help line. with their instructions over the phone it did not void my warranty either. that said, this time it was past the warranty date. :(
