M-C's BOM - Layout

With Kenda's help I finally decided on an album to use for my BOM (she ripped the wrapping off the one I like that I had in stock) and was able to complete my dedication page. Kenda gave me the purty butterfly and treaded it onto the page for me. It is a very, very simple LO as I want the words to outweight the embelishments. Hopefully Kenda will be posting her first two page layout soon so you can see what our vision really was for the the various stages.

Thank you so much for looking. In my mind it is truly a priviledge to be able to share my scrapbooking with all of you. I really hope that many of you, who want to do a BOM, will join us and share your pages with us as you complete them.

The LO is in my "BOM" album on webshots.

I like your LO M-C! The scan come out looking very much like the orginal! It looks really good! I did post my LO's. Nick actually likes the idea of a BOM. He says it will be interesting to see what we had when he was growing up, as well as when I was growing up. The cost of different things too.

I was wondering what I could do with all my baby, school, and 21st pics. Thought of doing seperate mini-albums, but this is much better. Thank you for the inspiration. Your page looks great. Looking forward to see the rest.

My name is: Summerwaters aka: Leslie. I am a new member, from Boston, MA. I recently had the opportunity, as a Newbie Scrapbooker to view your layouts@Webshots All I can say, is WOW! You are a expert at this! Your play with color is astounding, as I am a very colorful person myself! The layouts really capture each moment, and you make a viewer feel as if they are there. Your daughter is a beautiful girl, who appears to love the camera as much as it loves her!

As a newcomer to Scrapbooking, you have shown me, that one can: "Celebrate" the Everyday Ordinary Moments, and turn them into Joyous Celebrations of Living!" Everyday occassions that people take for granted, your daughter Sleeping is Awesome! I've never enjoyed a trip to the zoo, so much. I actually had fun, thank you for the invite!

I have purchased a: "Everyday Memories Scrapbook Kit" to get started, I just don't have a clue, how to start or where, although I have tons of pictures, of Myself, Loved Ones, a Hubby, and Friends.

Perhaps if you have time, you could send me a few hints on: "How to get Started in Scrapbooking" or refer me to someone who could help me: "Get Started".

Thank You So Much for Sharing and for Your Time and Patience, Sincerely Yours,

snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com aka: Leslie

Dear Leslie, Thank-you for all the nice words! I'm flattered you like my work! This group is a great place to learn, there are so many styles and skills out their! You'll find that there is a wealth of ideas to draw from. I suggest looking at a few scrapbook magazines and copy some layouts putting you awn slant on things. Just play around and do what you like, thats what I do just play till you like what you see! You'll get better as time goes on-I'm almost embarrassed to look at my fisrt attempts but hey they just show how far I've evolved as a scrapper but I still have a lot to learn too, and it's fun learning. Have fun, good luck, feel free to contact me anytime! Barb:o) -a good place to look for ideas is

"The Images from my heart" I love that M-C. I'm thinking these albums should be named that instead of "Book of Me." What a great start to your album.

That is lovely M-C! The butterfly hanging from the bottom is great too! You are off to a great start, just keep going with it now :) Sometimes these BOM's are great to help us realize how much we really "are" but you know we all think you are special :) I read the post on thanking you for all you do with the website and the group and I second that!!!!
