January Challenge Layout Posted

Hi, I just finished my version of the January challenge and it took me forever, but I will have a lot of fun using it through the year. I hope that you will like it too and that it will stimulate your creative juices so that I have company on the RCS January Challenge page. Don't want to be lonely, don't you know and both the December and the January Challenge will make great additions to your BOM!

For now you can see my LO in my webshots account in the Challenge album. It's Goals, Goals Goals.

If you want to do the January Challenge (monthly challenges are open to anyone) you will find the info on our website under Challenges and then January 2005 Challenge.

Thank you so much for looking and please, constructive criticism is always welcome as I do want to improve!

What a great job, you have inspired me I think I will try that, but how did you do the flip overs? Barb:o)

Thanks Barb! I printed out the insides, 3 to a 8.5x11 landscape vellum that I made using text boxes in word so that each box woulod be the right size. Then I cut off the extra and ran it through my xyron 900. I cute each out and forlded it in half before taking off the backing. I then stuck it to the back of the "cover" made sure nothing was sticking out and adhered the other half to the page. And as Deb would say, voila!

Thanks Tabitha. I just thought that is would help me do things. A little like having a Flat Stanley to do last year got me to go out of the house and do things so that when I sent it back to Morgan, her Flat Stanley album would not be boring!

I love it MC!!!!!!! I hadn't thought about how I would keep track of how I've achieved my goals, so you've given me inspiration. I love how you've decorated each month...so beautiful! Awesome job!!

Thanks Deb! You should see the mess I made in my craftroom pulling everything out to find something to ut for each month. I thought of doing a celebrate for July since it's Independance Day on the 4th, but then I'm a Canadian and Canada day is on July 1st of Belgian parents andthat is celebrated on July 21st. So finally I said heck with it, I'll just enjoy fun in the sun celebrating them all, LOL!

MC, I LOVE your Goals pages. It would have taken me a year just to complete the layout you did! I loved the details for each of the months and your monthly achievement pages are CLEVER. What an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Marcia. You should see the mess I made doing this, LOL! It's going to take me a couple of hours to put away everything I pulled out to see if it would work on my monthly squares!

I'm impressed! This is a beautiful LO. I was trying to figure out how to say what I wanted to say on mine using slidemount booklets - to heck with the smaller boxes I love yours. Sandy

Praise indeed Sandy :) I wanted something fairly easy to access and write on. Of course I will have to do some writting on top of the lumpy stuff but it should still work!

Thanls, Kenda! The idea of adding the little calendars came from looking at your work the other day. I figured that they would add to the pages and diminish the embelishments I would need for each month. Isn't it great how one persons work becomes another person's inspiration which in turn inspires someone else? Love this group for that reason amongst many others!

I did a layout with my goals on January 1. It is only a one page layout though. It is in my book of me
