March/April Challenge - Play Catch Up

Mar 17, 2007 17 Replies

We are catching up on pictures that we've meant to scrap but didn't have the time to! This is a double month challenge starting today and ending April

30th. This gives you time to put some page kits together to help you scrap, scrap, and scrap some more in April!

But first if you plan on doing the challenge, add a signature line to your posts called "Catch Up Challenge Goal: X and Completed: Y"

Next Make as many "pages" as you can during the month and keep track in your signature line. Remember we are counting pages and not LOs.

So whose game? I can think of a few here that will just amaze us with how many pages they manage to do!

Sounds like a great idea. I actually am working on putting together at least 2 page kits to take with me to the hospital tomorow in visit DH. Count me in. I just have to figure out how to get a signature her on RCS.

Chrissy

Because I come via Google a signature line is not possible but I'll try and remember to update it.

So I'll play.

Goal 12 Completed 0

Oh darn! If only you started *last* weekend! I just went to a weekend crop and did 24 pages! BTW, I'm caught up until the end of October. :)

Sounds like a plan M-C! :-) I have been making more cards lately than layouts. I still have shoeboxes of pictures to scrap! I will have to do an updated signature line for my totals because I use Google.!

Linda

hmmmm this sounds like the challenge I've already made for myself. Sounds great.

I do read RCS, and I do try to make our challenges meet some of our goals, LOL!

March/April Catch Up Challenge: Goal: 10 Completed: 0

This could be fun to do! I believe I'll participate. Now to do the page kits! Right after we finish taxes....how fun is that?

Wow caught up to the end of October! I'm impressed!

JennP, wow! All caought up till October? After the challenge you'll be caught up till at least February! I'm impressed!

M-C

Caught up until October? Wow! How did you do that? What's your secret?

I'm in! I could definately use some catch up time!

Impressive or disturbed, lol! :)

I wish. I actually will probably be a little slow over the next month since I just did a three day weekend crop. It usually works that way.

JennP.

I am. And the thing is, I spend quite a bit of time on each layout, usually at least two hours.

I don't do a lot of albums to be honest. I did a baby book for the first 18 months of each kids life then I keep one chronological album for the family (works out to be about two albums a year). I have friends who do duplicate layouts for each kid! I also am doing a home renovation album and an elementary school album for ds. I completed his preschool albums already (one for each of three years) and will do the same for dd starting next year when she starts school. I'm sure in the future I will be doing a hockey album for ds and any other long-term activities for either of them.

I know several of my friends keep individual albums for each child, separate albums for each holiday, birthday albums, albums for each vacation...I just can't do it that way. I like to look at a year and remember all of the memories from that year in one place. As for the kids splitting up the albums after I pass? I figure the color copy technology will be so good by then that they can make copies of what they want from the family albums and divvy them up.

I know my method doesn't appeal to everyone, but it keeps me sane. I'm sure I'll do more specialty albums over time, but I'll continue to be choosy about it.

JennP.

I'm with you Jenn. I just do one album and if anyone wants copies then I will make them. I only have one child so it is pretty easy to just do one family album. I do separate albums for vacations though.

Okay! I better add my name to the list for the March/April Challenge. Counting pages will help me as I usually always do a two page LO. I'm going to set my goal at 20 pages. I have two crops to attend before it ends, so I might make it using kits.
