Alternate or Supplementary April Challenge

If your're not into altered tins or have already completed your April Challenge and are wondering what to do for the rest of the month, here is something to sink your teeth into... I hope!

Have you used bottle caps, rub-ons and paint? Well it's time to give it a try! Your supplementary/alternate April Challenge is to create a layout using rub-ons and paint, and if you do not object to metal in your albums, bottle caps! I saw rub-ons used on bottle caps tonight at the crop I attended at the LSS (my first LSS crop) and it was quite a nice effect. The topic is up to you! Hope you have fun!!!

I love bottlecaps. I smash them to use them so there is not too much bulk on a page. A double challenge month! GREAT! I love a challenge. Now I got to pack a few more things into my bag......... Sandy

Oh, right or does she mean the metallic rub-ons that look like an eyeshadow case and apply like chalks...

I meant the letters and other rub-ons that one applies with a popsicle stick! Duh, I didn't even think of the creamy ones! Hmmmm... will put those on my lists! LOL!

Smashing them.... hummm... now that intrigues me. Less bulk with the cuteness of a bottle cap. I love it.

hmmm...think it holds the same kind of charm as eyelets! I also thought the "smashing" part sounded good! LOL

I actually use my sizzix to smash my bottle caps. I keep an old pad just for the caps. You have to have a converter to do it and three can be smashed at the same time. Sandy

Now that is a great idea Sandy!!! Much quieter than my rubber mallet! LOL The herd of guinea pigs might appreciate the quieter way....LOL I'll have to try that.
