Okay, I had to ask DH if I could borrow his tin! He said, what to take pictures? LOL Yes I said. "Well I get it back pretty quick don't I? I want to keep it" So I took pictures while he practically stood guard over it! LOL I have posted it my "challenges" album. I just finished uploading so it may take a little bit. Now that I've got that done, I guess I will work on the May challenge. Oh wait!!! M-C hasn't posted that yet. Sooo, I guess I will do a BOM LO. Also need to work on my Recipe swap. Thanks for looking all! I was just so pleased that DH liked it so much.

Great job on the challenge Kenda.

Looks really neat, Kenda. No wonder your DH wants to keep track of it. It was definitely 'made with love.' I found some little charms in the shape of a heart on ebay that said 'made with love.' I got 50 in a package. When I do a special LO for one of the kids I put one of the charms somewhere on the page. Sandy
All I can say Kenda is WOW!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! No wonder he won't part with it! What a beutiful tribute!
Well...all I can say is wow! You did a great job and your tin is very masculine, with the asphalt colouring and distressed look. I also love the polymer clay cover on your little book...just beautiful!!!! No wonder your DH was standing guard while you took photos :o)

Thank you Teresa.
Thanks Sandy. What a neat idea for your kids LO, I'll have to remember that.
Thanks M-C! I'll have to sneak it out of the house one day and show you. Pictures don't do it justice.
Thank you Marilyn. I'm always at a loss in how to make something look "masculine". Shouldn't be too hard as I live with 3 males in the house. (but the need for girly creaps in ALL the time! LOL) I enjoyed making the clay covers, lots of different possibilities!
Wow Kenda! That looks great! No wonder DH did not want to part with it for long! Well done :)

Thanks Judy! His reaction suprised me. Rather amusing! LOL
Kenda! That is such a great piece of art!! No wonder DH loves it. It is so personal and obivously done with LOVE. My goodness, I know I could not do such a lovely thing. Thank you for sharing!!

Thanks so much Sabrina! Now I MUST disagree with you Sabrina, I KNOW you CAN do such a thing!! You just have to step outside your comfort zone and not be worried about "messing up". 'Cause you will be the only one to know it, therefore it doesn't matter! LOL I believe you could make something much nicer. Should I send you a tin?? I have many, I'll be happy to share!
Kenda, I have managed to get ahold of a tin...I just feel very non-creative at this. It sounds as if all you guys know how to do altered stuff and I have not even done an altered book! Just a little skittish, I guess. I will give it the old "College" try. LOL whatever that means.

I haven't done an altered book. Started but haven't finished. I just jump in with both feet and hope for the best! LOL "College" try! LOL
Very nice! Barb:o)
Sabrina, I agree with Kenda. I think you can do this if you decide to try. I also have never altered anything. At first I wasn't going todo this challenge for that reason, but I decided that no one will know if it doesn't turn out how I want it to and I won't learn if I don't try. I hope you decide to do this, I think it will be fun.
Hey Sabrina...I never altered anything before! This was a first time and if you go with the flow it will evolve. That was what I did with mine and everyone's tin will be a reflection of them and the reason the made it. Mine's bright and fancy because it was to store my Rainbow Bridge Furkids book....Kenda's was masculine as it was intended for her DH's anniversary. Your's will be equally as creative when you decide what you want to do with the altered tin :o)

Here, here, I agree Marilyn! I say go for it Sabrina!!!! Go Sabrina, go Sabrina
Let me add my 2 cents worth..Go Sabrina go!
