November Challenge

Okay, So since I'm hitting my time of the year when I don't sleep much I was able to complete my challange. It's been done for several days, just haven't had the chance to get pictures of it. I would have scanned the cards and page I did but had to send my scanner back to the manufacturer for warranty work. Hopefully I'll get it back quickly, though since it went in the mail just yesterday I guess it will be a little bit! Didn't realize just how much I use it! LOL

So anyway, I have uploaded the pictures to my webshots. They are in the challenges album. I made a paint can, a page for my BOM and 5 cards. I had more scraps so I could have made more cards but I'd been awake that morning since 2:30 and it was 4:30/or so and I was done, KWIM? I of course had to use more ribbon on the paint can than the challenge called for, but I bought none of it just used what I had....enjoy the pics! Think I'll go to bed now.....cough meds are a good thing sometimes! lol

Such pretty colors.........Some of us just seem to be more creative in the middle of the night. What a great idea for the can. I think I will suggest that to my GS troop. They have adopted a Senior Citizen for the year and were discussing what to do for her for Christmas. Sandy

Thanks Sandy. I haven't decided what to put in it but I know she will love it anyway! It's a very inexpensive way to give 2 gifts in one

Oh I love it love it love it! The paint can is just beautiful. Your friend will love it. I love all the cards you made. You did a great job on everything!

Kenda, I absolutely LOVE the colors you used, and the cards are awesome! Your paint can is gorgeous, love all the ribbon!! I did my best to read your paragraph for your LO, and I felt the same way about that book club at school! I was an avid reader too, and when I can find the time, I do love to read a good novel. You did an awesome job!

I hope you get to see it in person, it's so much better! LOL

I love the colors too! They are among my favorites! I have made a couple of paint cans, they make a gift themselves so it's a 2 for 1 deal! lol OMG! I loved getting the scholastic book flyers, the first thing I did was smell it! LOL My boys thought I was weird when I told them that....heehee but like you I love a good book.....

Wow Kenda everything looks wonderful. I'm going to have to hunt for a paint can. I just love what you all have done with them.

Lynne

Thanks Lynne. I found mine at Lowe's. I have also done a small can that I bought at Michael's, has a "regular" lid on it like most tin cans. I will no doubt buy a few more for gifts, sure helps to give a gift inside a "gift". They are so versital, you can make it for anyone. My next one will be masculine for my grandpa....we'll see how that turns out!

ooooh that's what I wanted to do... a masculine one. My husband's birthday is coming up and everything I have right now for him will fit into a paint can. I'm on my way to Lowe's. Thanks for the tip.

While you are there Lynne ask, very sweetly, the person behind the paint desk where you can find a paint can opener. I've done this a number of times and they always hand me several and they are free!!! (at least here they are) I decided to add one to my can as the recipent may not have a screwdriver to open it.
