Water Boys LO uploaded

Hi...I have just uploaded a LO of my two DS's when we first emigrated to Australia. There was a fascination with hoses and water and I have always loved these two pics. Thanks for looking!

I love your LO Marilyn. You do great work. My favorite part is the hose that you connected. What a neat idea. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks Shannon...it is just two lengths of embroidery floss twisted together to simulate the look of a hose continuing on from the pictures. It was the swirly paper at the top that triggered the idea...hence the pearlescent spray of water coming out of the end of the hose. :o) You can't see it on the LO but I also used a white Sakura Glaze pen to make little droplets of water on each of the letters in the title. It is very effective!

Take care, Marilyn

That is an amazing layout. I love how the font matches the background paper and how you connected the hoses in the photos. Beautiful photos. I can tell why you love those pictures. Thanks for sharing! Jacqui

Those pictures are just adorable. I really like the lettering of your title and the way you detailed the hose.

Thanks Jacqui :o) The font is Ellison's Curlie Gurlie and was a real bargain! They had been mistakenly priced them on the Ellison UK website at £14.99 instead of £99.99 and they honoured the price. It was just one of those lucky situations...right place, right time :o)

Thanks Lynne...all I did was crop originals closer and enlarged the pics...which were only 3 x 3's. I think it worked out really well...glad you like it. :o)

I love it. I like the way you connected the hoses and have the water spout coming out of it. It was the first thing I noticed on the layout. The pictures are great too.

Thanks Cathy....the water spout is really the natural swirl on the paper but painted with a pearlescent tinting medium to make it look more water-like and accented with dots...to resemble water droplets. Take care, Marilyn

Thanks again Kenda....thinking outside the box doesn't come naturally for me but I had a sudden flash of inspiration on the hose idea LOL I guess it is something close to your heart....water & hoses that it! Glad you liked the LO :o) Now to think about a Comic Strip LO for the other May challenge. Take care, Marilyn

Looks great, Marilyn. I finally purchased a set of the Sakura Glaze pens while at the convention at Nashville. Can't wait to play with them. Sandy
