I like that, especially the tab idea. Does the picture actually flip open to journaling and such?

Thanks for the comments Cec...that picture was under 3 inches square and really faded. I messed around with it last night and was really pleased at the amount of detail that was actually there. I showed the LO to DH earlier and the first thing he said was, "There is one of the kids Skippy plates lying in front of the Esky" I hadn't even noticed that LOLOL That was a terrific caravan holiday we had with the friends in the picture...sadly both dead now :( Glad I managed to do this LO from the tiny photo!

Thanks Rach...the tabs just slip out from behind the photo. I don't want everything to be on show so I like the idea of making the little tags and storing them behind the photos. Doing them on the side means that they are not easily accessible to all that look at my books. Some folks make a slot in the PP so moveable items can be got at but I don't intend to do that...makes it easier to get removed or lost!

Thanks Lynne...it just seemed right to cut the paper to wrap around. I am pleased with the way it turned out!

I love your layout Marilyn. The paper is perfect and I like the way you cut it out to overlap the picture.

Thanks Kenda....it was a lot of fun :o) As was the holiday we had with our late friends, Keith and Pearl. Wonderful people...so I am pleased to have made this LO.

Answered you already but forgot to say the beach umbrella, flip flops and sunnies are novelty buttons with the backs cut off with wire snippers. Check out the haberdashery for stuff like this :o) Although these were out of a Personal Shopper kit from HOTP I bought some cute ducks and teddy buttons at our local market for very little money. When I reproduced the digi LO of A Day at the Beach I used tiny shell buttons I bought a Mothercare Baby Store. The last expo I was at they had a huge button counter and were charging crazy money for buttons that were all scuffed and scratched. In some styles you couldn't buy 2 for £1.00...now to me that is just day-light robbery and I would encourage them even if the button were in pristine condition!

Marilyn, You are on a roll. I love the way you cut the background paper for the grass to wrap around the photo. It weally adds depth to the LO. Hidden journaling! Like you I am doing more and more of that all the time. I saw where you said it just pulls out. It looks like a multi-file mat that would open up. I really like the LO. Sandy

Sandy...It is actually three dividers that I palnned to do a who, when, where sort of journalling. The two friends in the LO are now passed so I will be writing something special relating to them in the journalling.
