June challenge LO posted

Hi all, June has been busy and nearly got away from me with no scrapping done. I was able to do one LO. I took the time to do the June LO as a way to stretch myself as I have not used fabric on a LO before. I did use it for the front cover in May, or I may not have been brave enough to try with photos. I'm glad I tried the challenge. Thank you M-C for coming up with these challenges.

The material really fit in with the pictures. Like the tag, too. Very pretty LO. Now I have to get to work on mine - found the material, found the photo, found the embellishments, can't seem to find the time. Sandy

REally like the LO Lorilee! Doesn't feel good to stretch into an area where you're not comfortable? (guess that's why they call it outside your comfort zone. duh!) Great job!

Very nice! I don't have access to a sewing machine so I think I'll be letting this challenge slide. Barb:o)

LOL, Sandy. Time is the hardest component most often isn't it.

Thanks Kenda. Yeah it does feel good to try something new, after I start it. Before there is usually a bit of "what if I fail?" Though I'm trying to learn to answer that "failure is just another learning tool, that shows your trying"

But Barb, I didn't use a sewing machine. Mine is hand stiched with a needle and thread. I tacked the fabric down with a little bit of glue so it didn't slide around (didn't think it would work to pin it like I do with fabric t fabric sewing) and then sewed by hand. I didn't feel like dragging my sewing machine out for one Layout, and I knew that if I got it out I wouldn't do the LO anyway because I am supposed to be finnishing the window treatments for Kathryn's room. I have been procrastinating on that since before Christmas and everytime she sees the sewing machine she asks when I'm going to finish.

I really like the LO, Lorilee! I haven't had a chance to work on mine yet. Not sure what I'm going to do, yet. I guess it;s time for that extension! I haven't even had a chance to put up the May Challenges on the website yet... where does the time go????

Thanks. I think I saw an extension posted, so you still have time, tho I would say if you want to try it go for it even if the challenge is over as a personal challenge.
