July challenge -- just in time

I just posted my July challenge page. Thanks for the challenge M-C. It is the first picture on the page and I think the only LO I did this month. Where did July go? Hopefully things return to normal in August.

Love the buttons used to dot the "i's" and the stenciling. The page is really pretty - I have not tried wire words yet.. Sandy

I read the requirements for the July page and wondered how the heck I'd get them all incorporated. You did a wonderful job and made a beautiful page.

Very nice Lorilee. It's a great LO.

I love the "Sister, Friends, Cousins" -- The women in my family started a family tradition about 10 years ago where we get together for High Tea once a year. We take turns who will bring a token gift for everyone to remember the event. I started this portion of the tradition by making heart shaped pins with wire that was twisted into a M, D, & S representing "Mother, Daughter, Sister". Later on, my sister added an F for Friends. It has become our MDSF club. All the gifts are labeled with this acronym.

It is one of my future SB projects to scrap each MDSF event (along with the dance album, the camp album, the kids albums....LOL!)

Thanks Barb. It was fun to try although next time I think I'll stick to something easier than making words.

Thanks Sandy, I do lots of stenciling. I just about gave up on the wire words after the first word, but the idea was firmly planted in my mind. I'm glad I tried it. Don't think I'll do it often though 'cause its time consuming and I have lots I want to do.

Thanks M-C, I will at least consider the August challenge. They have been fun so far and I've tried a bunch of new things as a result. And it has kept me doing at least a bit of scrapping each month even if only one Lo for the challenge.

Thanks Lynne.

It took me awhile to figure out how to incorporate them into a page I liked. I drew out many sketches, some of the other sketches I like but didn't incorporate all the elements and adding another would have looked funny. A bonus is now I have some sketches that use some of my other photos. I'm hoping to work on some of them in August or maybe September. Both my girls are in school in September so theoretically I'll have more time.

Thanks Amy.

This sounds like a great tradition. Unfortunately in, in my family we are seperated by many miles. The one group of sisters on the page lives in Ontario (my sisters girls) the other two in Saskatchewan. We would love to be able to see each other more often and each time is a treasure. The girls are still friends in spite of the distance and hopefully we will see them often enough that it will continue.

Sounds like lots of scrapping fun in your future.
