January 2006 - Challenge

I am proposing a layout entitled, " 2006 in Review" Yes I do mean "2006". I think it would be fun to use some stenciling/embossing (wet or dry) for the technique and for the LO try to figure out what in your life will have changed by the end of the year. Then at the end of the year we can all share how close we came to where we thought we would be. If you do it in point form, then you could give yourself points for every item that you match up. At the end of the layout, indiate exactly how you will reward yourself for each item that you get right. Should be fun...

Okay, this will really be a challenge for me because I've never done any embossing (wet or dry) before. I do thave the stencils/patterns for it and I bought a tookit that included an embossing tool (I didn't know what it was really until now). Thanks for the challenge! :)

Thanks for the challenge M-C. My first thought was 2006 in Review but I'm no good at goal setting how am I gonna figure out anything. However my mnd would not let go of the challenge that easy and I think I was designing the Lo in my sleep. And DH got me some embossing stuff for Christmas so I've got no excuse except for time -- gonna have to make some. I think my frst goal is going to be at least 1 LO per month (the challenge) and hopefully more. I might even go back and do some of last years that didn't get finished (I have all but the pics laid out and ready to go).

This will be a fun one, MC. We made a 1 yr time capsule last night with the kids at church. DH had each of them write down either resolutions or what they think will be different in 2007. Then he took several pics of the kids, the children's area in process of repainting, people at church, etc. Since it was dark, we'll take more pictures Sunday morning of the outside of the church. Even DH & I wrote down 3 resolutions to add to it. The kids (all 5 of them from 4 yrs to 5th grade) really enjoyed it. It may become a yearly thing. LOL Now to just sit down and think about this LO! (After another cup of coffee.)
