Holliday Luncheon - 2006

It's time to get ready for our Holiday luncheon exchange 2006 that KK in BC started last year. What a success it was and so much fun!

We are starting earlier this year to allow for those sending overseas the opportunity to save on postage. I know how costly it can get. Besides, I despise shopping at the last minute for the holidays.

Start looking for that unique coffee/tea mug to be filled with goodies for your secret pal. Include a note or card with your name and RCTQ handle. Here are some suggestions for your mug:

A favorite recipe Ingredient for the above (make sure it meets with customs regulations) Beverage mix (tea bag, hot cocoa mix, flavored coffee etc...) Fabric (Fat eights 9 x 22 inches, fat quarter 19 x 22 inches) Sewing notions, pins, needles etc.... Quilt block Chocolate Licorice Holiday decoration (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza etc...) A unique item from your country

Let your imagination soar - within reason of course ;o)

Here's what you need to do to participate in the fun:

Send me, Carole, an e-mail at: ceridwen_rhea @ yahoo . com (remove space) Subject line: Holiday luncheon 2006

Name & RCTQ handle Mailing address a little paragraph about yourself (so your secret pall can look for something unique and special) International secret friend: Yes - or - No

Sing up deadline is October 21, 2006

THIS IS A DIRECT MAIL SWAP. I will be sending you your secret friend within the first week of November.

Start hunting down special treats to include with your mug and get ready for the luncheon. I ask that the package be mailed by December 1, 2006. For those early birds, you can always include a note on your package "do not open until".

Enjoy the luncheon with your quilting buddy!

I have a question about this, I am wanting to go on and mail mine since I am having surgery and may not be able to make it to the PO at the time it should be mailed, is that a problem?
