Well, I mailed my mug on Nov. 29 and forgot to include my email address. ;-)I hope it arrived safely. When are we supposed to open them (I have not received mine yet)?

I got mine the other day and loved it! my sender also forgot to include an email addy and I have already put the box out with the old paper so I don't even remember who sent it :-S (sorry about that!)

the mug is HUGE and the flower spool pincushion is just perfect for me, the thread is earmarked for a project I am starting soon and the fabric is also perfect!

I have been waiting for this message to appear since no one ever mentioned it, I was afraid to. I sent mine back during the trip that entailed making the outfit and I do believe my secret pal was the person on the other side of the making of that outfit. Not sure though. Anyway I got mine this past week and everything in it was wonderful. Enough fat quarters, chosen to make a quilt with the pattern enclosed, coffee, mug, chocolate, which I didn't include in mine, shame on me, key chain, napkins and a wonderful book, thank God I got new glasses the day it came, I have been reading it and plan to finish the book and then make it my very first quilt.

Thanks to all for such a wonderful Christmas.

Found the address so can mail the package Monday or Tuesday. My husband is off to New York for several days so if mine arrives while he is gone I will especially enjoy it. If it arrives sometime in January I will also enjoy it and know that someone else has their life in a mess just like mine. At least my house is decorated for Christmas. That doesn't always happen. This year a friend came and helped me. The men in my household do not enjoy the decorating part.

LOL Susan - your hubby and mine should meet up!!! My DH left today and is due to arrive there tomorrow - which will actually still be today over there.....hmmm this could get very confusing. Suffice it to say he doesn't get back here for 8 days or so.

I understand that bit about the men not enjoying it. My nephew says he is not putting up a tree at his mother's house because no one ever comes to see it. Guess it is because we are not invited, but who knows. I started putting our's up and my sister's started acting ugly, that's the nicest way I know to put it and I said what's the use and told Dad I was just going to take it down rather than finish putting it up, but he said that he wanted it up so I said OK you can help. LOL what a joke, he sat there and would say do you need me to help you and I would say, in just a minute I will and he said, I believe I am going out walking. Took me close to two weeks to get it up. Now it is up and I am wondering just when I will take it down. Just finished decorating my kitchen this morning and I am finished.

Christmas has a true meaning to me and it isn't all this humdrum that we all tend to do. I have over spent but thank God I was able to pay for it so don't have that to worry with next year. Dinner for Christmas, Dad said that he didn't want all this big meal like we had at Thanksgiving, just to cook a ham, yams, shucky beans (bet most of you don't know what those are) and cornbread and a dessert and maybe a salad and he would be happy. He told me to tell the sister's if they wanted anything else to bring it, so I did and they looked at me like I was crazy and said they didn't like yams we needed to have something else. I said, bring it. I am ready for it to be over. I think that Christmas brings out the best in some and the worse in others. Myself, I try to have Christmas every day, I think the fun in Christmas is giving, but hey I am not giving my new stash away.

Methinks we have similar family types. I've been invitng my mother to here for Christmas for the last 12 years. She turned up once and stayed 3 hours then left. Never mind they drove for 10 hours to get here!!!! Long story.....

I agree, Christmas is too special to have just on one day a year and it's nice to spread the cheer and the giving around. I love seeing the kids faces when they open up. Seeing the kitty cats playing with the balled up paper is hilarious. Watching the kids jump on their Uncle Brian when he's full as a goog and trying to sleep on nanny's couch is an experience in itself.

Christmas is a state of mind. And bugger it - I'm having Christmas all through january too. Who's in it too?
