Finished the March/April Challenge

I finished the March/April Challenge with a day to spare. Our monthly crop was cancelled again at the last minute - I called at 11 am and was told she was getting ready to e-mail everyone to tell them. It was to start at 1 pm. So five of us met together and cropped anyway. I got my last two LO's finished and did three more. The last two double LO's in my 2007 Challenge Album were kits/challenges for the LSS Club I'm in. (Hope I can count the LO's for two different challenges in two diferent groups at the same time.) This was a great challenge. It really got me motivated to scrap some of the kits I have had for a while. I'm hoping to keep it up.

Sandy,

Have just checked out all you LO's and they are wonderful. I love the style of some of Jesse's school LO's, the Halloween LO is fab and your Holiday World LO's are bright and colourful. I love the Giggles LO of DD and GD at the end...very sweet and I love the paper you used. Did you actually stitch or is that rub-ons? I think stitching is on my list of stuff to try :o) TFS and well done on completing your goal.

Take care, Marilyn

Yes, it is stitched. I think my sewing machine has been used more lately for scrapbooking than for actual sewing. The last thing I made was DD's dress for the formal Winter Ball last December. I started to use white thread, which is what I usually use, but then decided black would accent the black mats of the photos. I do like the way it turned out. This was one of the kits from the Braniac series. I can't take credit for the LO as I used the kit and went with the basic design in the instructions. Our club at the LSS uses the Braniac book and kits each month.

Most of the kits are outside of my usual realm of scrapbooking style. That 's what I like about it. The book gives us three different styles of the same LO to work with. I usually try to pick one that is outside of my comfort zone. Sandy

LOL...my sewing machine is sitting here next to my box of scrapping mags and it is calling to me now! :o) I have basically laid out the fixed polaroids LO with paper from a kit I bought....made up of the Fancy-Free Collection from Fancy Pants. I am thinking that stitching might just work nicely so I might just try it....need to use some scrap paper first to gain confidence. I could also use rub-on stitching but I might just go for the real McCoy. Felling inspired and brave :o)

By the way...I have some kitty rub-ons that may suit you...see her:

I would be happy to send you them if they suit...LMK...I don't have cats so am unlikely to use them! Take care, Marilyn

Would love to have them. I saw the naughty one right away. Cookie unrolled a whole roll of paper towel again last night. She jumps up on the diaper changing table and stands on her hind legs and paws out the whole roll and makes a bed to sleep on at night. I failed to pop off the roll and put it on the shelf before I went to bed like usual, so it is really my fault. I have a photo of her lying in her 'bed' I plan to scrap. Don't know how many rolls we've been through over the last couple of years. I usually save it for the boys 'misses' in the bathroom. With the childcare, and mostly boys, I get a lot of that. Good luck with the sewing. IF I could figure out where to put my machine in this over-crowded room I would probably do more of in on my scrapbooks. The extra trip down and back with my bad ankle deters me from using it more. Sandy

LMK if your address is correct on the last RCS list I will get them off to you a soon as I can manage :o) I think the last cat stuff went to Judy in SA...where is she anyway...anyone had contact with her?

Take care, Marilyn

Yes, it's the same. I have not heard from Judy for a while. I knew she had some illness in the family, was it her Mom? That's what I was thinking. Life must be very busy for her right now. Thanks, Sandy

I think those are my favorite from this bunch, too. I love the colors from the Giggles kit, and colorblocking is still one of my favorite styles. Thanks for looking, Sandy
