Scrap Time Challenge!!

OK tomorrow is Saturday... I challenge anyone to do one of these two things this weekend....

  1. Get some photos printed. You've been waiting to scrap, but they are not printed.

  1. Get some photos out and scrap one page.

I'm guilty of both... I accept the challenge and will do one of the above things ... maybe both... but that's a big maybe.

Ok I think a challenge is just what I need! I am judging a 4-H cake decorating contest at a local fair on Saturday, and then heading to Peoria to visit Dad. Sunday is all MINE to scrapbook! ~~after I clean off my desk, that is...maybe dust too...I think I might see a cobweb! LOL Linda

I did a page last night and then today I printed off some pictures (I print my pictures at home and only print when needed for a scrapbook page - I get them done professionaly for my regular album so all pictures are in a regular album too). Back to the challenge, so I printed off my pictures and scraped a page! I will upload it to my blog in a few.

I didn't get to read the group Friday evening because of a storm and was gone all day Saturday. Today was DH's birthday and I asked him what he wanted to do today....he wanted to work on the new patio we've been planning on, so.....that's what we all did. Helped him frame up the sides and start digging out the sod. At least it was a cooler day.

Saturday was my day. DD and I drove to Evansville for our monthly crop (that I have had to miss the last two months) and when we got to town we decided to go on to Henderson, Ky to a scrapbook store I had heard about, but never got a chance to visit. Serendipity. It is not a big store, she does have a big class area. She specializes in altered items by the looks of the inventory. We did get a lot of neat items to make some mini albums, and I ordered a custom made chipboard word album in DD's name. At the crop they had a yard sale and several of the gals brought in items to sell....of course we shopped there too. I found a big monthly calendar stamp for $2 and a Girl Scout stamp for $1. Lots of neat embellishments in baggies for a quarter. Then another scrapbook store was there with their clearance and I bought some page kits for $1 at the end of the day as she didn't want to take anything back. I worked on DS's Cub Scout album. got 6 pages done yesterday at the crop and another one this morning before going outside to work. Hopefully this will help me got motivated again to scrap more. I did get pictures printed last week...sent them to CVS to pick up. I've decided to add photos to all of the LO's I have done at classes and crops and never got around to completing. My goal is to empty a box of LO's by next weekend. So I guess I took the challenge without even knowing there was a challenge. Sandy

My plan was to scrapbook the day away Sunday, but the laundry was calling me, and did some various other chores I felt I had to get done first. I did manage to spend about 3 hours at my desk (after I cleaned up my mess from the May CCC!) I got four pages done! Yay! I did two duplicate pages of our dog for the boys, and two pages for this year's baseball team photos for DS. I did not take pics of them. (have to find the memory card!) Now I have to get busy and get the June CCC done, and a birthday card swap from another group needs to be finished by July 1st. I can tell its summer...baseball games and vacations and wedding cakes are just getting in my way of being crafty! :-) I think the only night I have free is Thursday this week! Did anyone else get any pages done over the weekend?

Love the LO. Reminds me of a photo I have of my DD at the beauty shop with a head full of perm rods. How did you make the title?

OK, I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy one of those. I just need to get into more of a scrapping mood to justify the purchase........of course I could use it for the day care too.........hummmm

Well, I missed reading the challenge until today. But, even if I had read it in time, I wouldn't have been able to do it. DH & I were on our way to Abilene on the 20th to pick up the kids. Then we headed back on the 21st. That Sunday, the 22nd, we had church that morning then a meeting that evening at 5:00. Throw the Day Camp in Monday - Thursday and my week was shot. LOL This was definately a good challenge, Lynne. I wish I could have done it!
