Jan challenge & BOM page posted

There's two new pages uploaded to my photo page. My Jan. Challenge is in the RCS Challenges album. The journalling is hard to read in the scan, but basically my goals are to lose weight, visit NM with DH, scrap at least one LO a week, and finish an album this year. Visiting NM this summer with DH is important to me this year because he hasn't been able to come out with the kids & I for the past two years. As much as I love my family out there, I really miss DH when I'm apart from him for 2 weeks! LOL Plus, my family really wants to see him this summer, too. The background paper & stickers for the title came from a kit I bought from MC. The paper piecing is from a Suzanne McNeill pattern. I'm not crazy about how the hair turned out, though. But considering it's my first PP of a human, I'm pretty impressed. LOL Believe it or not, there's no stamping on this layout!! LOL

There's also a new page for my BOM album. I kind of oops'ed on it, though. I didn't notice it until it was way way WAY too late to fix the problem, so it's staying like it is! The boo-boo is that I switched the two square tags. The one for my 2005 pic is under the 1973 pic, and vice versa. The hearts & swirls are rub ons from my SS. The square tags, stickers (title & years), gray hearts, and eyelets all came from the kit I snagged from MC. There's a 2nd page to it that I didn't scan because it's the same as the 1st page, except the rub ons are placed a little differently. The years on the

2nd page are 2025 & 2045.

Ok, I'm off to potty then do more scrapping! LOL

I just LOVE your jan challenge page. The little you is too cute. I just love everything about the page. Great job.

I also like your BOM page. I wouldn't worry about changing it either. You did too much work on it to accidentally ripping it to change it around. anyone reading can tell what its supposed to mean.

Again great job. Thanks for sharing.

Love your layouts Deb! You did a great job on your Paper Piecing :) Thanks for sharing. Your BOM is coming along nicely. Love that you went with a heart theme for that page. I do see why cause I saw that you were born on Valentine's day. Great job!!

Great pages Deb. Your paper piecing on the goals page is really wonderful. I like your BOM page too.

Thanks Shannon. At 1 in the morning, the hair didn't come out like I planned, but now that I've really looked at it...my hair does tend to get weird looking during the day! LOL

Thanks Tabitha! I'm beginning to kinda like PP. LOL (You're rubbing off on me!) The heart theme just made sense! I loved hearts when I was a little girl, and still love them.

Thanks Cathy! I'm still using patterns for PP, and probably will for a long time. The pattern used all kinds of little pieces on the small layout, and I just wasn't ready for that many little tiny pieces. So I changed it. LOL

Your challenge page is so cute. Love the paper piecing. The BOM page - love the hearts, fits with your birthday. I woldn't try to change it. Showing my age - you were born the year I graduated from high school. 73 was a good year!!! Sandy

Looks really good Deb! Nice job, though I wouldn't worry too much about switching the tags, you're so young looking! LOL

I love the PP for your challenge page. The doll is adorable! (just like you!)

Deb, I love your paper piecing. I wanna try that. I've been trying to find some patterns and hints, especially since there is no one around here that I can get lessons from. I will figure it out, though.

Thanks Selena. I'm still new to paper piecing. Maybe there's some websites out there that would have some directions. I'll also see if I can find a pattern book for you.

I did a quick google search for paper piecing, and here's a few websites that talk about how to do paper piecing. HTH!

Thanks Sandy! I wouldn't change my birthday if I had to. LOL It meant that all through those boyfriendless years, I still got something on Valentine's Day! :-)

Thanks Kenda! Uhmm...me? young looking? Just what have you been drinking??? LOL (Thanks though!)

You're very welcome :) LOL :) They are a lot of work but they turn out awesome!! I have a paper piecing book if you ever need some patterns. Hoping to get some more books. Hearts are awesome!! :)

Thanks Kenda! The PP came out a little bigger than I planned, but at 1 in the morning, my brain didnt' see a problem with it. LOL

That looks great Deb! I love those paper piecings! Very cute! Thanks for sharing.
