New Layout

Okay - keeping with my promise to myself for this year to try different techniques - this one is really outside of my norm - Taking into consideration all the "new techniques" I guess I'm happy with it.

What do ya'll think? --- now honest responses - I can't learn if you don't give the bad and the good - trust me my feelings will not be hurt - I relish learning something new each day so .....

Great layout Maureen! I love the look and the feel. You can tell it's outside your normal comfort zone, but it works great. I love b & w pics, and the bold colors give this l.o. a really fun feeling.

Maureen, I just can't see a thing to critisize ! I love all of the neat embellishments and your colors and patterns are just perfect! I like the use of tags. I think I will scraplift some of your wonderful ideas. (if you don't mind) I do love your style and had to browse around some. You are a super scraper. Thanks for sharing !

I can see that this is not your usual style, Maureen, but it lives up to itd predecessors in its balance and visual appeal. What I particularly like, is that you went outside the box. The green isn't the first, second or third color that one would think to use with the background paper, but it works in making the whole LO pop!

I love it Maureen!! As ya'll know I am one not to respond to all's posts on lo's but I like this one for ALL the different colors!! It is like I say, it is mine, and if I like it, that is fine - heck with what others may think!

First I have to tell you I went through the whole album and loved it! I'm VERY impressed, it looks like a professional job. Secondly, on the first layout I'm in the minority because I didn't like the striped paper. Everything else was just beautiful and if you like it that's all that matters, but since you asked....

I'm a grandma too just starting with scrapbooking for my 2 grand-daughters and I love the way your layouts showcase the kid's personalities. It says so much about them, you really get a feel for what they must be like. I love the themes of the pages too, that On Top of Spaghetti was a hoot! And where did you get that cute SweetCheeks thing- sticker?

Janetlee - thank you - Being a Grandma is awesome - isn't it! As to the Sweet Cheeks Title it's a "My Mind's Eye" product - got it at my local lss. Try googling it.

Thanks M-C - hard to do things different - especially the older we get. I don't know why I choose the green - but I agree - it does make the LO pop.
