OK, kind of -- dog-proof lotion!

I finally found a lotion that works for me, smells OK, doesn't stay greasy or slick, doesn't show up on quilting or any other sort of needlework, and most important -- it doesn't taste good to the dog! Clara is a constant companion and a lovely critter, but drives me bonkers with licking any sort of cream or moisturizer on my skin. Thus, finding one I like but she does not is wonderful! It is Crabtree & Evelyn's Lavender Body Lotion. If your critters continually try to lick your lotion, you might find success with this one.

Mary, that is so funny and so true about the licking! My dogs really love the cream I use on my neck to tighten/firm my 'turkey wattle' skin. I wish you'd found a WalMart priced lotion to solve the problem, tho! LOL

The only thing Yogi is inclined to lick is cheese. Cheese may have beautification propensities on turkey wattle necks but might stain clothing. Polly

The dog we had before the present dog loved to lick the lotion off my feet, legs, hands, etc. But his true love was a bar of soap! I have a cleaning lady that comes every other week & twice over the years that we had old dog (Sean), she left a bar of soap on the side of the bathtub & he ate it both times - of course, we didn't see it happen. The first time he woke me up at about 3 in the morning, whimpering. I got up to take him out & he didn't make it, he stopped in the dining room & threw up - SOAPSUDS!! The 2nd time it happened, I don't think there were any soapsuds. It's too bad they aren't able to associate their behavior with the end result - hours later.

Present doggie (Liam), sometimes licks lotion I put on, but doesn't seem to be addicted to it as Sean was.
