Oregon coast shops

We just spent five days in Astoria, OR and travelled about from there each day. We had a wonderful time and I found some great shops! My favorite was Jane's in Tillamook, next was Creative Fabrics in Wheeler and then Homespun Quilts in Astoria. I brought home lots of fun fabrics and two books.

My next task is to choose the fabric and put borders on my bargello heart. Then I have a clown face to outline stitch for Christmas and a quilt top to put together for a friend in my stitching group for Christmas. Then I have my first grandchild expected in Feb. and I bought fabric for a little travel quilt for him.

I need a new idea for a "favorites" quilt or scrapbook. I bought fun fabrics like sexy firemen and drive-in movie (large motifs) and Jim Shore coast. How should I create a fondling piece to enjoy them in? Any ideas? Debra in Idaho

Cool! Astoria is on my list of places I want to visit. It's been a location for a couple of movies and I love the scenery. Did you find a lot to do while there? Where all did you go? I don't have any suggestions for your fabric finds, but I'm sure you'll think of something after sufficient fondling.
