OT: Boredom

Do you have any idea how boring it is to stay in bed for four days? I am going nuts. I really can't do any hand work -- the breathing medicine makes me shake like a little chiuahua dog. Looks like I've got another week maybe of this staying close to bed stuff. Yuck.

Just moaning, Sunny

Well, crud, Sunny ... I'm so sorry!!! Big ol' hugs goin' out your way!!!

This is why I save old issues of quilt mags - when I'm sick (or as I have been, waitin' in a doc's office for the hubby for HOURS) I pull'em out and if enough time's passed (usually a couple of years), they're like new!

Do you have any quiltin' buddies that can give up mags out of their "stash" for you to read? Even the really, really old ones can have interestin' takes on old patterns ... that way, when you get back to a place where you can quilt, you've got oodles of inspiration stocked up and you're rarin' to go!!

If'n you like, give me your addy and I'll be glad to send you mine ... you'll be feelin' re-energized in no time! At the very least, you won't be quite so bored ... or if you can think of anything else that I can do to help, I'd be more than glad to!!!

Big ol' quilty hugs!! Connie :)

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Sunny}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I'm so sorry. I know I'd be gnawing at my restraints too. Got a kid you can steal a Gameboy from for the rest of the Duration? There are some fun games even an old fart like me can get into and it does make the time pass.

Lordy, yes, Sunny, I spent almost THREE MONTHS in bed this past summer with my hip surgery. Yes! I sure do know how boring it is being sick. And I do sympathize with you- but you MUST take good care of yourself and get this cured and behind you. Then you can let loose and have some fun. Spend some time- while you're in bed- thinking of all the things you want to do once you can get up and around more easily. Plan some quilts in your mind. Plan your garden for next spring. Plan a wedding for someone. Get lost in memories and deep thoughts. Plan or relive a great vacation. You can send yourself on a mind trip and have all kinds of fun and imaginary mischief!

Geez, you gals are gonna drive me nutz! All I seem to do is play games online -- no time for quilting! Here's another great game site (no ads):

Snort! I usually play around with the my-way games site right before I head for bed... no logins needed, so I don't use a nickname. I'm addicted to jigsaws/jumbles/cryptograms - plus the candy-cruncher game.
