Isn't it time for little geeselets to be hatching.
One of the advantages of being on track break from school is that I can do my morning walk/jog in the park in the daylight. I actually got to see blossoms on trees. But where are the goslings and ducklets?
Saw them in abundance in northern Idaho today
We still have the geese here in Central Illinois. I think they're usually long gone from here by this date, but we've had a very cold, wet May here. What magnificent visitors we enjoy!
Maybe ours haven't hatched yet. Or maybe the eggs were taken away so the goose population wouldn't increase here. I think there is some optimal time to do that so that geese don't have to be transported to more geese-friendly environments. I'll just keep watching for them. They're so cute when they're young!

Thank you! I might not have missed the little cuties after all. I have a few more days of break before I have to start doing my walk/jogs before sunrise. You know the saying, "up with the birds"? On workdays, I'm in the park before the birds wake up!
I live in Southern NH, right on the geese "flight path" and look forward to seeing and hearing the large formations overhead each Spring. I don't think I've heard even one yet this year. Winter lasted longer than usual here and maybe they've extended their vacation in the warmer states.

You can come to Columbus and get all of them!!!!!! Dirty, pesky nuisances-they foul the golf courses ,are pests at the zoo and other outdoor venues. Too bad they're a protected species--I wonder if the food bank could use them! Gen
Haven't seen/heard any up this way either! Most of the other birds are pretty much on time except the robins were a bit early and the Baltimore Orioles haven't arrived yet. Weird weather! (but then I seem to say that every year, so my DH says ) ME-Judy
