OT - Chocolate cheesecake recipe please

Hello folks,

My birthday is on Saturday. For years my mantra was, "Please don't make me cook dinner or make a cake on my birthday". Since I cook basically everything from scratch, I wanted a rest. Several dry and expensive cakes later, I'm back to making my own. Lemon, chocolate, strawberry, whatever I fancy.

This year I would like to make a chocolate cheesecake, and I would love a great, rich cake. Your favourite recipe please? I'll go shopping for the ingredients tomorrow and make it tomorrow night!

Cheers, Jo in Scotland

Happy Birthday for Saturday.

It is my DH's 80th birthday next Wednesday and I have bought him a chocolate cake.

I've never created one, Jo, but I do just happen to have the Chocolate Lover's Cookbook written by Hershey's. If no one comes up with one they know for sure is wonderful, I'll be happy to offer any of these *chocolate* cheesecakes recipes: Chocolate Almond Vanilla Citrus Festival German Amaretto Easy Simple Black-Eyed Susan Raspberry Swirl Grand Finale Fudge Truffle Neapolitan (Mr. Esther would call this one Napoleon and we would just smile.) No-Bake Peanut Butter Chip Praline Pumpkin ( your own little pumpkin might like this one) Candy Bar I gained 15 pounds just typing their list of chocolate cheesecake recipes. Polly

I would like to try the other recipes mentioned, but it may have to wait a year. After my birthday and Christmas, I'm going to start to seriously shift the post-baby weight!

I thought I had saved the recipe for the cheesecake that Jo made but I didn't. Can someone please repeat the recipe. It sounds really good and easy enough for me. Thanks, Donna in Bellevue

Two people in Mark's office are making it, after hearing him talk in reverent tones about it!
