OT: "Comfort Kits" for victims

Hi Guys, Well, I delivered my carload of stuff to the local "help" group who has a collection center and was basically ignored whenever I tried to ask a question. I was REALLY pissed off and so went to the church that is closest to my house to see if they were collecting stuff. Which they were, of course :-). Anyway, the church gave me a list of things to put into "Comfort Kits" for men, women and small children. All the stuff must fit into a

1 gallon zip lock and you write on the bag who the stuff is for. What they didn't specify was stuff for older kids or young teens -- I assume the older teens would use the same stuff as the adults. Now, I can figure out what to put into the kits (pretty much what is put in for the adults except for shaving stuff) except for one thing. How old are boys and girls -- IN GENERAL -- when they start to use deodorant? I'm old enough that I haven't a clue and DD is old enough that I can't remember when she started to need it -- LOL! Anyone out there with pre-teen or early teen kids who can help me out here??? Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

DS is 10, and has been told repeatedly by parents and teachers to use it. However, DD is 13, and no longer needs to be told. *She* needs to be told to get out of the d@mn bathroom already, other people need in there and what can you possibly be doing for 45 minutes, anyway!

Looks like I shall be including a container of deodorant in the kits for ALL older kids. I wasn't sure if I needed to make separate kits for young teens and older kids or if one set of kits would do! One set WITH "pit cream" it is :-). Thanks everyone & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

I have banned James from using it until he's grown some hair there! I'm sick of choking on the damned stuff when I go up the stairs... At hos pre-teen stage (not quite 11), he really doesn'r need it. Mind you, after a shower, he tends to wiff somewhat of Lush banana scrub! Who'd want to contaminate THAT with Addidas pit pong?

I'd pop in an unscented hypoallergenic one for teens, to be on the safe side. And a stick or cream rather than a spray!

LOL Jo, this just really made me chuckle. I was exactly the same way. But boys never became a huge obession for me. I had a horse and that was obsession enough. So I still got dirty... maybe not so much like you after all...
