Hi guys!

I'm back. I moved last week. M-C was going to make a post for me cause I wasnt sure I could find you all.. but I did find that I can access you through aol after all. I was here for a week with no scrapping stuff. I moved from the woods to a beautiful beach house.. I actually SAID to my husband that I was homesick this week! I thought he was going to hit the roof.. I missed my stuff!!! He drove to the other house 5 hours one way and picked up all my scrapping stuff yesterday. The rest of our things are going into storage for now. We're in a winter rental and will probably move inland in the spring. Its wonderful here though. We're on Tybee Island in GA. I can see the ocean from the deck off the living room. Its furnished and comes with everything.. electric, phone, cable etc. Its really nice here and feels like vacation. Tybee is a few miles outside of Savannah. I found a GREAT scrap store also.. Scrap Happy.. up to date with new stuff. I think I'm going to like it here. Now lets see if it will use my signature that I told it to...

Michelle Shealy...in case my sig doesn't post.. lol Michelle

Yeah!!!! You did it! You got here and your signature showed up! I'm so glad to have you with us again and what a dear your DH is for driving to get your scrapbook stuff! Savannah is georgeous and to be able to sit by the window and look out at the ocean, now that's my idea of a fine view! Hope it inspires you and we get to see lots and lots of layouts!

It has inspired me all ready. Got a layout going.. my scanner is at the other house still.. hoping it will be down in here in a week or two. There is an anchor by the beach pier. I took a picture of my son with it and going to make it into a nice layout. There are lots of historical things to visit in this area so there will never be a lack of subjects! This was my 8 year old Christians first time at the beach. I can't tell you how big his eyes were when he saw the ocean for the first time. He kept saying its soooo big. We go to the beach at least once a day..yesterday was twice..lol. My husband thought it would be good for us as a family after the losses we've recently suffered. I think he was right. I walk on the beach nearly everyday by myself. There are also bench swings right on the beach. I love it. I have taken a couple rolls of film and my husband said he'd get me a digital camera for my birthday coming up. So you know there are going to be lots of new pages. And my signature showed up! yippeee.. Michelle

Thanks Deb.. I don't know if I'd call him sweet..BUT it was that or listen to me whine about being homesick for my stuff..lol. Guess I was convincing cause I got it all. It was that or wait another week. I'd have been crazy in another week. I'm feeling better. Still dealing with some painful things about losing my dad and my step mom and my son in law so close together.. one alone would have been devastating. But I think I'm going to be ok. I lost a child so I know if I can survive that I will survive this and they wouldn't want it any other way. The tough thing is my grand daughter Tyla..she says everyday she misses her daddy. That breaks my heart more than I can say. She'll be 4 in January and she was a Daddy's girl. Jay spoiled her something awful. She worshipped her daddy. Some things are painful but we're doing ok. Kristie is also and the other kids. I think that I am happy for the most part though with the changes we made here. Moving here really has helped change my mood. Michelle

Hang in there Michelle. I can't imagine losing all you did, in just a matter of months, too. Hearing about Tyla just breaks my heart! DD is 6 and daddy's little girl, so I can imagine how Tyla is hurting. Bless her heart. Next time you see Kristie and Tyla, give them hugs from me and let them know they are still in my thoughts & prayers.

I am glad you have a pleasant place to be right now! Scrapbooking is great therapy and having the ocean to look at and inspire you, wow! The one thing positive about your granddaughter is that at least she is old enough that she may remember him when she grows up. I know it's hard now though.

Hi Jacqui. That would be great..maybe we could meet up at Scrap Happy. I loved it.. compared to the last store I had access to in Dawsonville Ga.. this one was sooo much better. The lady there goes to 4 shows a year. She is up to date on things and has lots to choose from. I was pretty happy and the store was well stocked. The staff really nice. I didn't notice if they had a play area..might have. Lots of tables in the back. I NEVER take my 8 year old to the scrap store. I always go alone..lol. Its ME time. I tell Mike I'm going to the hardware store.. lol

thanks Trish. Yep its pretty nice here. Its a temporary stay but thats ok with me. I enjoy the time here. My son and I were able to watch the sunrise this morning off the deck. He's 8. He kept saying it looked like the sun was rising up out of the ocean. There are some things that are just special.
