I'm Back and the Twins

Nov 13, 2004 13 Replies

Hi all. I got back from my trip on Monday night, but have been post trip getting things done that I promised others. I had a great trip, me up with RCS friends, Lori & Sabrina. As Sabrina pointed out I spent the most so I won. :-) We met at a store called the Chocolate Scrapbook Store on my birthday and spent about 3 hours talking and shopping. Then I did a little more shopping at another store. Got lots of goodies as a birthday present from DH. The we went out to dinner with his family, I got the best homemade chocolate chip cookies from out waiter for my birthday. Then we went to "The Incredibles", one great funny movie, I'd recommend to everyone. While on the trip we saw his brother that had the stroke, he is walking and using the arm and hand that was effected, he has most of the use of both, but has a little more recovering to do. His mom is doing better too.

I got to see the twins on both sides of the trip and have posted pictures of them to

I have to password it (email and I'll send the password), as their mom asked that they not be posted on group. They are just adorable. Amber is off oxygen and Katie should be soon. The are still quite little, around 6 lbs. Now for some mildly not good news, DH was a neurologist yesterday and apparently some time in the past he had 3 micro stroke. No problems he has noticed, but it has him thinking about his diet, and the doctor wants him to take baby aspirins. The good news is they are old, nothing recent, but with his brothers history we will be watching. They are going to be running oodles of tests to make sure nothing else is wrong. All in all the trip was great, but the return has been a little of a let down. We're not letting it worry us too much yet.

Sounds like you had a great time! Happy to hear his brother and mom are doing good.

Happy to hear the twins are doing good :)

I'm sorry to hear about your DH. I'll pray that he doesn't have any more strokes.

Sounds like you had a great trip there Teresa! Glad to hear the brother and mom are doing good. Super news about the twins, too!

It's good that you found out about the micro strokes, though. Now you guys know what to change and what to look for in the future.

Thank you Tabitha. Luckily the micro strokes haven't caused any serious problems yet, they were found so we can try to prevent any more.

Thank you Deb. We're glad they were found before any real damage was done and before they get as serious as his brothers.

Teresa, I am so sorry to hear about DH's incidents and am so glad he is now aware and can be more careful of his lifestyle. The twins are sooo cute and just precious. Glad you got home safe and sound and glad that I could share a little of your birthday! It was so neat to spend time with two fantastic floozies in a LSS !! LOL

Thank you Sabrina. We are looking on the bright side. He has decided not to let thing get to him and push his blood pressure up. You and Lori helped make it the great day it was. :-)
