I just booked our flights for February to Florida! Yay! WE go to Treasure Island again on the 8th to the 22nd. Sunshine, warmth, beaches, flea markets, good company, good food, no snow! What more could a girl ask for!
I'm so EXCITED!...

Thanks Darlene, This is our second time, and I'm so looking forward to it. DSIS will have moved in with us just a week or so before, and she is looking forward to keeping our dog for us.
Oh, I will Katherine, you can be sure of that! LOL

Norma, I am not sure where Treasure Island is but I will also be in Lakeland, Florida from Feb 18th to the 25th. My sisters and I go to my parents and spend time without the rest of our families. Almost like a step back in time but we are older. Hard to explain. This Sat., I will be leaving for San Diego, Calif for 3 1/2 days. Our company pays for a trip for the employees only. I am looking forward to seeing a different part of the country. That will be all the traveling that I will get this year but both places should be nice and warm. :-) Carol in TN
sounds good to me! LOL but you might have to sit on the wing of the plane! We are flying because my sis said if we wanted to drive home with them we'd have to sit on lawn chairs on top of the van.
Hi Norma:
Wow, sounds like a wonderful trip. The thought of "sun" ..."warmth" and no "snow" or "rain" ...imagine. I hope you have a good time .
Donna from Ontario, Canada
Thanks Donna. Right now it's raining here and they say it's going to get cold and snow. We should get more than you. The freezing rain under the snow doesn't sound so nice, does it?
Hi Norma,
I'll be thinking of you during that time when I'll probably be dealing with snow. LOL
Hugs,
Nora
WOO HOO!! Have a great time:>)
I think (not sure) it's in Nassau, in the Bahamas, and might be the name of the hotel???
Carol, I was in San Diego in November of 1996 when the company I was working for had their yearly "sales" meeting. It was also for employees only, but usually family/friends would meet up with employees at the end of the meeting. We would usually leave on the Wednesday and it was over by Sunday. In San Diego we stayed at the Loews Coronado Hotel, which was absolutely beautiful. One of the activities planned for us was sailing on crewed yachts.... incredible! The company was very good, in that although we spent most of our time in meetings, they also allowed for recreational activities during the day too so as to have happy, attentive people when we were in the meetings. We were all allowed a choice of some of the activities, and I remember one of my choices at the Coronado was a one hour massage. That was absolute heaven (and very expensive). I'm glad I didn't have to pay for that out of my own pocket.
I hope the sun shines for you and have a great time!
Shelagh
I am looking forward to
Shelagh, it is right beside St Pete's on the gulf side of Florida. Beautiful spot, and not really touristy; doesn't seem to get the influx of tourists during school breaks.
Oops, sorry I see now that it was Carol In TN that I should have addressed my reply to.
No, me too. You helped me understand where it is (smile). Have a great time!
Shelagh
Thanks Shelagh. I can hardly wait. My sister moves in with us around the
21st of this month, and will be here on her own looking after everything including Minnie while we are gone.I missed the original message... but I gather that you are going to Florida for a holiday, Norma. Congratulations, and enjoy yourself! :o)
*hugs* GemThanks Gem. I'm almost packed already! LOL
