Ok, there is a BIG craft fair here in L.A. every January (or was it February?), called the L.A. Craft Fair, or something to the effect;o) It's very selective, in that you have to be a member to exhibit at the show. It includes artisans from all over the country, and every craft store in L.A. (maybe more...).
So, I have a friend at church that makes jewelry, and she's a member, and has been falling all over my jewelry lately (she bought my most expensive pr of earrings-$16 FW pearl and garnets). She's invited me to be her featured guest at the BIG show!! I get a whole booth, and don't have to pay anything, because she is a member in good standing, which allows her to select new people to come in and exhibit...which could possibly lead to me becoming a member (I *still* don't know what the whole membership thing is about....but it sounds like something I want, LOL;o). She's also invited my best friend, Laura, who makes really unique diapers (check 'em out, they are SO cute:
YAY YAY YAY!! I'm likely going to be asking a ton MORE questions (I've been trying to stagger them a bit, can you tell?;o), regarding finding wholesale tot he public places, and show-specific things (is that ok here?), i.e. how much to make, how to handle money, etc.
Just wanted to share! I'm stoked to just be making a new friend...not only is she into BEADS, but her two kids are about the same age as mine, so we can really relate to not having enough time, picking long lost favorite beads out of icky diapers, etc......(ok, that last one was a joke....kinda;o)
