OT: Da swamp

I saw this quote this morning

First thing that came to mind was "heck throw them to Polly's gators, let 'em handle those problems! If they taste like chicken, all the better!"

Ginger in CA wondering if the gators would like our semi-new software system from work that went down for emergency maintenance at 2PM and they couldn't restore it......

I don't know, Ginger. You could send the software and we'll let the gators sniff it out. Maybe if we coat it with chocolate? The Swamp is so peaceful tonight. The roaring wind and flooding rain have subsided. All you can hear is the low rumble of gators calling to each other. We never know what they're saying. Maybe it's "Send us software, it tastes like chicken". Polly

Can you really hear the gators at night? Are the mosquitos bad there?

Yes, we can hear the gators in the late evening; sounds much like DH snoring. I typed in 'alligator sound' over at WebCrawler and came up with lots of You Tubes films with audio. Quite fun and very safe. The mosquitoes aren't bad here but we are enduring the June bug plague. You'd think Gustav would have blown them away, but noooooooo. Polly

Ick....I don't like June bugs....I must have been frightened by some as a child. I'll go listen to the alligators...

Ok.......those gators sound just like me at night! (I sometimes snore before I'm even asleep!) I can't imagine a whole swamp of them snoring all at once. It must be rather relaxing to hear.....as long as you have a sturdy fence between you and the critters.

Ginger, we don't have gators, but we do have coyotes and they will eat almost anything.
