OT: DD Update

DD called me today. She sounded so much better today. Landlord changed lock on security door that did not have an automatic closing devise-- does now, he sent an e-mail to all tenants letting them know that there was a break in and they MUST make sure that the door is closed at all time. She bought a new computer and printer (printer comes out to be free with a rebate so she bought it event though the creep did not take her printer). I think she probably got some sleep last night which helped a lot, and of course all of your great hugs were felt and have been working wonders. Thank so to everyone who sent warm hugs to her.

I am so glad she is feeling better about this horrible thing. She sounds like she will walk forwards away from it especially once her room mate moves in later in the month.

So glad she is doing better. She only has about a week to go before the roommate moves in. Hopefully that will also make her feel better. Continued hugs as she deals with this!!

Debbi, I'm so glad her landlord has stepped up to make things a bit safer and that your DD is feeling a bit better now. :)

She wanted to call him and tell him to move in sooner since he is military and has a gun she wants him there. I rather the gun be elsewhere. I have met him before he deployed. Really nice young man. Yes, I will be happy when he gets there. She is still very skittish. Called me today to let me know that little things like a door that might move because of the wind makes her jump. But she did sound really good today.

Sent the landlord a thank you note for being so conscientious.

The hugs have been working wonders. She has called me daily, sounds better and better each day. Now she is trying to catch up on the homework that she fell behind while computerless and going nutso. Her art classes are more work than she thought and they are strictly electives but they keep her so busy she does not have time to be scared or upset right now. Boy is scheduled to move in on Sunday!
