Hi all,

A real tear-jerker. Does anyone know what the music is - it just says Vangelis on the credits.
what you don't notice straight away is that there is a blog attached - do read it :-)
but basically an area flooded and horses got stuck and after days of RSPCA people and firemen etc. calling the horses and not knowing what to do these
4 girls got on their horses and lead the other horses outfor me this is a moment - *everyone* knows that horses are herd animals and if lead will follow but I mean how come all those **adults** didn't think of that??
sally I don't know which one it is but it always makes me cry when I hear it - even on the radio LOL but for some reason it makes me think of the phantom of the opera and of that film about the British runner back in the

If i am not mistaken the music is called : Conquest of paradise. The British runner music is : Chariots of fire. That rescue was a great moment.. over 100 wild horses following those four young women to dry land.. ( it always is up to the women isn't it..? :-) ) I was cheering for them when i saw the footage live on TV.. made me cry too.. yes i know.. i am an emotional sissy when it comes to kids and animals.. i blame hormones...

I hope it works.. it's such a beautiful photo.

Interesting photo...kind of shows that good will prevail or miracles happen with the single white horse mixed in with the darker colored horses. "A vision in white" or the beauty after a storm. An unknown spirit. Neat photo taken in a very strenous time for those horses.

I can't blame hormones, Els >gg< but I was moved and cheering at the end. What got to me was that the whole herd of horses was *trotting* after the lead, ridden horses - not just trudging. Wonderful story. Thanks Di. . In message , FiederEls in NL writes
Me too Pat! I was amazed how they had so much energy after such an ordeal! It was certainly an uplifting start to my day. KJ
the great thing is that these are **teenagers**!

Yeah.. not only that, but one of the girls fell in the water when her horse tripped.. she climbed right back on her horse ( soaking wet and cold ) and just carried on leading the horses to dry land as if nothing had happened... chappeau !
