RCTQ week activities...

well till late last night I hadn't sewn a stitch. I designed a pattern from someone special yesterday and hosted a mystery over the weekend and apart from thinking of making a new bag for me I didn't get anything done - I wanted to but just couldn't decide on the fabric to use. last night I couldn't sleep so decided to sew (my bed is less than 5 feet from my sewing machine nowadays hehehe) so I glanced at my UFO shelves and grabbed a box. it turned out to be my RCTQ 2005/2006 BOM - yes you read that right LAST years BOM! I had only gotten as far as cutting out the first 6 months and choosing the next 6 months of fabrics. well a couple of hours later I had 6 blocks made and I cannot believe how good I have gotten and matching my points! I didn't rip once - though maybe I should have as I discovered I had sewn the squares in the wrong direction for one of the blocks (lady of the lake 2)but since I had already trimmed the little corners I decided not to, after all who will ever know but me and anyone I tell?

after I have had my morning coffee and looked at the blocks in amazement (I made *those*??) I will take photo's of the blocks

thanks Estelle :-)

I decided that the FQ's I got in the Thimbleberries yellow brick road FQ pack were better off becoming this :-)

Have fun. It's just getting daylight here. Later today I'm hoping to work on mini blocks for a swap.

.. of what I have seen in the European block swap and the star blocks I got in last year's star swap, I don't think you have any problems with your sewing :-))

Heidi from Germany ( who cut all the squares for her first star block 1/2" too big and I only found it out, when 56 were already sewn together. Could fix that, but what a fabric waste ;-) ) "Jessamy" schrieb:
