OT: Moving Day has come

Ok ladies and gents, the big "M" has come. I've got ten thousand things to get done before DH picks up the moving van at 7am Saturday, and I'm trying to do them without my 3yo and 1.5yo getting too terrible hurt (not good to run over small children while moving boxes and packing things up!).

I don't know when I'll get computer access up and running at the new house. But I'll probably be gone for a few days. I'll read more tonight, but just don't have time to post. I appreciate all of the chatter on the Focus on Color thread and on the Cherrywood Fabrics request for information. It's definitely helping to keep me sane while I look at my poor Bernie sitting in her case ready for moving....

Be good whilst I am gone!

Put 2 kitchen use boxes (Last packed, first unpacked) down on the floor, flip a small blanket over one end and play peek-a-boo with the kidlets...they'll catch on and play for an hour whilst you pack that room--then it's their nap time. When they get up use a diff blanket and let them have at it. I discovered the diff blanket trick--the older one will become all KINDS of things inside that box. Every so often rap gently on the side and ask if anyone's home........do the same when you are unpacking. THEY are occupied and within your sight and NOT underfoot. When all is said and done use a couple of boxes for the older one to kick around outside...once again make a game of it.....you can even give them a small ball to toss into it.
