Ot; Obsession with doing things right

There's a new box just in here that is extremely suspicious. Not nearly as often as I should, I have recently ordered spices to replace those in my mad chemist cooking. Yogi has thoroughly snuffled around the Very interesting shipping box and is guarding it. The Narc Squad would look pretty silly with a Yorkie but if they ever really need an expert, Yogi's highly qualified and eager to help. Polly

Yes! I saw that broadcast. I had read the story prior to seeing it on the news. What *really* irritated me was that two stores were involved. One was a Walmart, in whose dumpster was found coats and clothing which had been run through a machine to shred and otherwise render them useless. Now. Why wasn't Walmart likewise named in the TV news story? When asked for comment, Walmart attempted some damage control by saying that it was *not* normal store policy, and Walmart HQ was not aware of the practice. Payless Shoe Stores used to do the same thing years ago. It's certainly not a new practice, but it is so hideously wasteful I do hope there's some serious public outrage about it. It's an insult to everyone. Not just the homeless, or the dumpster divers, or Fregans, or whatever. Rant over. I came from a home where you were expected to "use it up, wear it out, make it do." I can't stand waste.

Oh I just love the picture that conjures up! Springer spaniels on the sidelines, looking very puzzled; customs officer marching along the lines of passengers being sniffed for drugs by a Yorkie. Perhaps that should be your next painting?! . In message , Polly Esther writes

Excellent philosophy John! And you've certainly applied it in a most beautiful way. :-)
