Awwwww, how thoughtful. I'm hobbling along....in my wheelchair and walker. My new boot lets me put just the tiniest bit of weight on that foot, and it seems today I've been able to be up and "around" a tad more than I have been. Not enough to walk down the aisle next Saturday though. DD said her music wasn't long enough for me and the rest of the bridal party to parade down the aisle. :-) So DS will probably push me in the wheelchair. That's OK...that kind of exertion leaves me a bit winded and perspiring! Do you know how round a person looks in a wheelchair when they are already round?? Extra round!! Just found out today that the "bride's room" at the church is on the second floor....no elevator. So I don't know if I'll be in on the "dressing" pictures at the church. This just stinks!!! I can't do any stairs yet....well, I can get down.....but I can't go up. DD brought me her crutches, but I'm not trustworthy. Yesterday when I tried them out....DH needed to catch me from falling. Sheesh. DD got a call today from the hotel.....her wedding planner had been let go. Great. It was bone cracking cold today....oh, bad choice of words....so I didn't go to the final planning meeting. DH went with her.....don't really think that was what she thought that was the plan. But they were still speaking when they got home. I made it to the bridal shower on Saturday. It was so NICE to be out of the house and see a house with Christmas decorations! We are displaying two ornaments that we've been given as gifts. I'm trying not to become too bummed about all this. Not much we can do about it, so I'll try to keep a smile on my face and roll with the punches. Thanks for asking.

Thanks Jeanne. This really is a caring bunch. We have one more wedding to go. The first one (DS) was SPLENDID! I think the MOB pulled out all the stops! I would have loved to dance at it though....everyone was having such a great time. I'll have to collect some pictures from various sources and get them online. The photographer's site has over 1000 pictures from the day! The digital age does have some drawbacks.....you need a sturdy backside to sit long enough to go through all the "proofs". We need divine intervention with the weather to make the next wedding less stressful. We have guests and wedding party members coming in from all over. So.....any thoughts and prayers for all the air travelers who are flying to holiday events are welcomed. Not just mine......everyone's!
