OT: Scarpetta novel

I just finished reading the latest Kay Scarpetta novel after waiting forever for it from the library. I really used to like the series, but these last 2 or 3 have been so depressing.

Kay really needs to take up quilting. It would give her time to think and get her life back on track.

I too have been disappointed with the last couple of novels. Not up to her former quality level. Maybe she's trying too hard or tired of the character. I finally gave up halfway through her non-fiction book on Jack the Ripper - it was boring with too much detail. I just glanced though the rest and looked at the drawings. Kathleen in TX

Most especially Nevada Barr - I love her books. Have them all, I think, unless she's snuck another one in that I don't know about yet. Guess I'd better go check her website.
