Sorry for not checking in more often, have been very busy over the last few weeks.
Well, I now go regularly to the local quilt group and improving my French at the same time. There are about 18 of us, so quite a lively group. Still trying to find more time at home to get things made, finished etc.
Planning to restart my quilting supplies business that I ran in the UK. Plan to visit local quilt groups and markets at first and see how it goes and may even try the Internet. Still at the planning stage because I'm trying to "understand" the French tax system! Next year maybe....
Meanwhile, DH is coming to the end of his 6 month trial at work, although we don't hold much if any hope that he will be kept on, because the project he is working on may be finishing at Christmas anyway. In the meantime he has applied for other jobs, but no joy yet. I feel so worried and helpless, I just want him to have a stable job that he is happy in. This year, has been quite difficult and every time we think that we are on top of things and everything is going in the right direction, someone seems to pull the rug out from under us. Grrrrrrrr..... I don't mean to sound so low, but with Christmas looming, I can't see anyone wanting to take on a new employee this side of the holidays.
Apart, from work, France is actually great, we're really enjoying the weather and the culture and the children are thriving at school. We're making new friends and feel quite settled. Just need to get over this hurdle, I suppose.
