Re: I'm still here...

Well, we planned to arrive at our hotel in DC after lunch, it was on

21st next to GW University, and walk to the Interior Bldg. Only problem was, 3rd St thru 23rd St were closed all day! It took us two hours and three cops giving wrong directions to finally figure out how to get into town. We would ordinarily never consider going to DC on a holiday, but my DH's cousin is Deputy Secretary of the Interior and getting invited to his party was kind of big-time stuff for us, and we didn't want to miss it! Also we could here the concert from the balcony. The horse park was Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington and it was pretty great, 1200 acres of horse stuff. My daughter rides, and we thought we'd be there a couple of hours but we were there nine hours and didn't see everything! And as to antique malls, you never know.....
