I don't have any affilitation with this organization, but thought that some of the talented lampwork artists on the list might be interested. Stevi Bell = scrumpscious beads! Thanks, e

I lived less than five miles from Tyler State Park where this craft center is located. There have been many times lately that I've wished I never left Pennsylvania and this is one of them!

You know, I've heard of Tyler State Park but I have NO CLUE where it is. The map of the area that the PA Guild of Craftsmen uses gives no indication of where it is.

The Center is located in south eastern Pennsylvania, a bit north of Philly. Some of the classes are held in small towns wet of Philly.

I live in York and I've always wondered where it was.

It's between Newtown and Richboro in Bucks County along Newtown-Richboro Road - naturally! Bucks County Community College is nearby on Swamp Road and Tyler State Park has access on that road too. Neshaminy Creek runs through the Park. I used to live on Worthington Mill Road. The mill (converted into a stunning home!) was down the hill from us. The property we rented was five acres with a small house and lovely four-stall barn with two pastures and a paddock. The back of the property sloped down pretty quickly to Neshaminy Creek, but we could go fishing there easily. We had tons of wildlife - deer, raccoons, possums, fox and other assorted creatures. I had a giant garden, grew tomatoes as big as Connecticut, beans, watermelon, cantaloupes, sweet corn and other wonderful stuff. We had a horse, a pony that constantly got out of our pasture into the one next door, which contained lots of BIG black angus including a very large bull! Also acquired a dozen chickens at a farm auction so we had fresh eggs too. It was a great life then (1974-1976). As I said before, some days I really wish I had never left. But then the original DH decided he didn't like life in the country and found someone who liked city life more than me. Oh, well...

And my Aunt & Uncle lived in York. Used to visit there all the time, too, when I was a kid. LOVED the farmers market in York and Lancaster. I remember when US 30 was a two-lane blacktop road! Too bad it's gotten so built up over the years. It was lovely way back when.
