Exciting!

Just orderd £320 worth of silk for a bride.

33m of silk in two colours: cherry red and bitter chocolate. Some organza and some dupion. Averages out at £9.70 a meter. Kewl!

It'll be here tomorrow... I haz the sshshsivvvers thinking about utterly delishshshuss it is! :D

I'll be diarying this lot on LJ.

I LOVE PONGEES! Their silks are so pretty, and it's so much cheaper going direct to them rather than buying at high street prices. And they are always so nice when you ring them up!

It would not do for me to visit that store, Kate. I would need help to get my purchases out of it, and probably would not have any money left to return home. They are such lush colors and I can imagine how soft they feel.

Lovely site. My biggest difficulty with online fabric shopping is I can't feel the hand and the actual color depends on the monitor settings.

Red and brown, interesting choices for bridal.

I have their shade cards with tiny fabric swatches on, and send for larger swatches of anything that looks interesting. They are incredibly helpful.

Bride has ruby slippers - with bows on! She doesn't suit pastels and loves red. The brown, while very dark, is a good choice as a foil for her dress, and suits all 3 blonde bridesmaids.

I have also ordered swatches form online shops, and that certainly helps.

I fully understand, I also do not like pastels (on me), and red is also my favorite color. Sometimes when I look in my closet I think I really need to broaden my color palette.

LOL! Sounds too much like mine. Red, Cranberry, Merlot, Burgundy, many, many shades of "red", and lots of black. However, I don't usually do much grey.

I do grey. It's a grest background for a really dramatic necklace, or a bright over shirt or cardigan. Or bright red shoes!

I'm a pink any shade, light, dark, hot what ever is out there, turquoise, teal, aqua, a little blue, some greens not much in black, beige. Mostly the pink group though. I wear red to the basketball games because it's a tradition there. Juno
