I just got my class schedules in yesterday's mail. I'll have to check to see what days lunch might be possible. But I'll be there all week!

Have a great week Kathyl and Musicmaker! Sure wish I was joining you. We are going to Italy for a month on Wednesday which will be fun, just Dh and me. the middle two weeks we are renting a house in the country side for a week, one in Umbria and then one in Tuscany. We are thinking about going to Houston for the show at the end of the year, so will be able to meet up with some of you if we get there.....

Have fun, Hugs Bronnie

I too wish you a happy time at the quilt show in Paducah, even the thought of traveling to Kentucky could be exciting. For four years I traveled with the Miles With Smiles tour group and the owner Robyn was a wonderful organizer and the times were great.

I am making plans to go to the Minnesota State Quilt Show in St. Paul in May or June with my friend Judy.I plan to be in Connecticut and go over my third book with my editor and one time publisher. She has gone back to her other profession Oceanography and working for the government. She is going to help me with the editing and organizing and then show me how to self-publish by CD. It will require a challenging stretch.

I have one star quilt on the frame and plan to take the summer doing the hand quilting. I have the frame set up in the lower level living room out of harms way.

Have fun in Paducah.

From everything I've read and have heard from attendees, the Minnesota State show rivals the big national shows. The teacher line up is always impressive. I'm sure the quilts are too. I've wanted to get up there for that show, but haven't made it yet. It's not that far from me when it's in the southern part of the state. ( I'm in central Iowa.)

Bronnie and Rhoda - thanks for the good wishes. Your trips sounds like a to of fun - so be safe and have a great time. Kathyl - obviously there's no hurry - but let me know when you want to about lunch. I've been to Paducah 3 times but am not too up on the great places to eat. Have you been there before? I will have a vehicle, if there's a need.

The Minnesota Quilt Show is June 14-16 in St. Paul. It's always a good show. It used to be the largest completely volunteer show in the country; this year they've hired a show coordinator, but there is still a lot of volunteer involvement. More info on the show and workshops at . I might get up there on Thursday, the 14th. That's the weekend of DH's 50th high school class reunion, so Thursday is the only day that I could consider going.

Next year it will be in Rochester in the southeastern part of the state. I'm looking forward to that, since the site of the show is walking distance from my house :).

Kirchhoff's Bakery is in the central quilt shops area, just a block from the river. It's a wonderful bakery w/ deli. Wonderful. Within walking distance of the show, and you meet so many quilt-type people out walking the same paths. ;-) Gene & I will be in Paducah on Wednesday or Thursday of Quilt Week, and this is on my list of "gotta' go there!" places.

G'day Sandy Enjoy your time in Paducah - I recall that bakery! I look forward to seeing the prize winning quilts on the AQS website in due course.
