I am keeping my fingers crossed very tight that last night I won a box of books about quilting! Rather than stay for the auction, I put in an absentee bid sheet for several things -- the large box of quilting books, a similar box with needlework books, a pair of antique brass kerosene lamps converted for electricity, an ornate antique bedwarmer, etc. It appears than one of the consigners had a family member who did a lot of quilting and needlework -- lots of lovely quilts, several boxes of needlework materials, and some gorgeous framed needlework samplers. The books are the hardback ones that normally sell for $25 to $50 each, and are in wonderful condition, so I am hoping to add to my collection. . . . I'll find out on Monday.
