Thanks to everyone who suggested I check out Le Rouvray. I discovered the shop's owner is actually from Michigan (although she has been living in France for several decades!)
I didn't meet her -- but her assistant was wonderful.
I bought 5 meters of the loveliest blue & yellow Provence fabrics... (which was hard for this no longer U of M family... we're now a Go Green Spartan family! LOL)
