Quilt Shop Sale

Jul 17, 2006 5 Replies

Sad news. One of my favorite quilt shops is closing. The owner has decided to retire.

Iffin' you are in the SF bay area, it is likely worth a trip to pick up some goodies during their sale.

Sniffle. Now where will I buy my quilt backings now that Carolea's Knitche is closing. sigh

Sad... Thanks for the heads-up. I could probably drop by tomorrow, since all the coworkers and I are going to lunch in the Town Center.

That is one of the shops that I always wanted to visit....now I suppose I won't make it before they close. Too bad someone isn't buying it from her.

I wrote up all my fabric needs and will be shopping Monday too.

I don't know if she offered to sell it or not.

I went this morning and the shop was busier than I have ever seen it. Probably 8 ladies in the shop and in that itty bitty place that's saying something. Back porch fabrics were still $4 but they were pretty cleaned out. All the rest of the things were 25% off. It didn't look empty at all...though all the bolts on the floor were gone and up on the shelves. She's not accepting checks anymore, just debit or credit cards or cash.
