Black Rose is my neighbor, but that's real life. She also not reading and posting at the moment, but I keep passing stuff on to her, and we go out for S.E.eX.
Yes, Rose is doing ok. She's really stressed with the oldest son from a prior marriage has moved back home- he's got all of the bad habits of the ex, so you can imagine the stress. When the three younger boys (all teenagers) appear angellic in comparasin to the 21-year-old... He seems content to work part time and live in her basement, play video games all day long, and criticize the other boys & her household. Naturally, we all want the brat to get a full time job and some manners.
On a good note, she's got her bernie all settled in upstairs in her bedroom where she can shut the door and retreat from the chaos. She signed up for a quilting retreat through one of the local quilt shops, which will be in a few months. She's working on an embroidered picture quilt, a stack and whack for the middle boy, and taking a class on Bargello in the round- the big round piece was FLAT when she finished that bit of piecing (happy dance). She's been plotting a lot more, and I'm doing more sewing vicariously through her rather than doing my own sewing.
I'm over halfway through my course. I have my next to last test this week, and I'm enjoying the work. When I get done with it and get a job, then I can buy fabric again...and maybe have time to sew!!
