Re: OT: How to pack fabric?

Sharon: My stash has been moved all over the Western Hemisphere and has been stored several times. The last time left it in storage for nearly 18 months. My stash is *all* machine washed and dried, with *no* starch or other finish. (IOW: no chemicals to attract critters.) Here's how it was stored: packed fairly neatly in clean cardboard moving cartons. No other special treatment. Since we were in Europe, the moving company loaded all the boxes and furniture into big wooden crates and shipped them to the USA. Then it all languished for a year and a half in a storage facility of some sort, in a port city in or near New Jersey .... IOW, a humid place. The stash suffered no problems. *I* of course was suffering great withdrawal pangs, so had to go out and buy a mini stash, cutting supplies, and a vintage FW to tide me over!!! Hope your move goes well and hope you find another home sweet home soon. PAT in VA/USA
