Glad it worked out so well for you, Kathy! Don't you just hate sitting in dealerships, waiting for them to get around to finishing? :S

No quilt or stash raids planned for this one -- it's a work truck. My Lexus RX330 is the quilt-equipped S.E.X. and raiding vehicle. :) And yes, my quilt group has expeditions planned in it! LOL (One of my neighbors works at the dealership, and he saw the quilted rear seat cover and was dying to know where I bought it. He doesn't know I quilt for a living, so he was pretty stunned when I told him it was something I just whipped up. *grin*)

We got a Toyota Tundra V8, straight side, access cab, but the rear seats have been removed for cargo room. (But not as much fabric carrying room as the Lexus! *grin*) This truck will be for delivering paint and lacquer - if I'm lucky, I'll never drive it again! (Because if I drive it, that means I'm stuck doing deliveries, which I HATE doing.) The Tundra is nice enough that my employees are starting to get over their disappointment when I told them that no matter how much they begged, my Lexus would NOT become the paint delivery vehicle. :)

Kathy, Kathy! When you've got a live one nibbling at the bait ("One of my neighbors works at the dealership"), you DON'T respond with "it was something I just whipped up"! It should have been something like "its custom made, but I have a friend who might be able to get you a good deal."

Yeah, but I don't want to do another one, no matter *how* much money he was willing to offer! (Quilting it was fine. Fitting it was a PITA!!!!) Really, it's better that he doesn't know I do it professionally. :)

Woo Hoo, Kathy! I have been following your story, as I also hate certain shopping experiences...my pet hate is clothes shopping! I am so pleased it is all over for you, and that it all went pretty well, and now, you are the proud owner of a fabulous new truck!! Enjoy! Jayne (giraffe)

Glad to hear from you again!

Yes, clothes shopping is the pits. I do it about once a year, whether I need to or not! LOL
