Prayers and good thoughts for you both Cindy. I have two little friends with CF, and I think their Mum has a worse time than they do. The worry is pretty constant I'd say, so you don't need emergencies like this. They will be very watchful for any sign of pneumonia though, knowing the circumstances. Hope all goes very, very well tomorrow. I think it's wonderful that you can share this with us. . In article , Musicmaker writes

Our children grow up and become adults, but out hearts seem always to remain stuck in motherhood mode! I haven't found that it gets any easier to see them hurt in any way, just because they're older. I can certainly identify with your anxiety, and hope you will both be healing quickly and happily! Prayers are in progress! chipper :)

There are 2 partially effective therapies that he can still use - one is an electric vest that you put on, plug in, and sit while it vibrates your chest, hopefully loosening the mucous. The other is a contraption you blow into that causes a ball inside to vibrate, sending vibrations through the airways. If he spends 3 hours a day doing these things, he may be able to keep pneumonia at bay - that's why everyone's prayers are so coveted.
