Howdy!
I do both pieced and whole-cloth backings, mostly pieced because ..well, there is this stash... er.. Stash. Bonnie used to live here in Tx., down in Waxahachie about 20 miles south of here. [I got my PT Cruiser before she got hers, and I grabbed the PT QLTR license; she got her PT QLTR when she moved to another state.] She does have a marvelous web site and so much info in her blogs, including many things that we old-timers have done in the quilting world forever yet don't make an opportunity to pass on to the newbies in one big site. Hooray for Bonnie's Quiltville.
Repeating myself (can't stop me ): When I bring in fabric there are 2 questions appropriate to the situation: Did you get what you want? Do you need help carrying it in?
I offer the same complimentary service to my husband's supply of amplifier & guitar parts; even the UPS guy knows the sight of a box of tubes or little capacitors and knobs and such. There's no hiding the stuff, why bother? Like Kathy's darling spouse, mine will point out lovely fabric and suggest, "You want some of this, don't you? Don't leave it behind." (I've even been known to show the stash to a select group of friends, in particular those who visit here. )
Happy New Year!
Good to see you aga> Same here, especially on the not hiding stash part. DH has been well trained
